FM17 - Free Business Banking

The Free Business Current Account from Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank doesn’t charge you for day to day banking like depositing cheques or standing orders. If you switch to this account, every single one of your standard non-cash transactions is free and unlimited.

If you do need to make cash deposits, these are free up to £1,000 every month. After that they charge, what they claim to be, the lowest rate in the market of 20p per £100.

The catch is that payments into your account must total at least £1,000 per month – otherwise they will charge you £5 that month. (Credit transfers from other Alliance & Leicester accounts do not count towards the £1,000 monthly funding requirement).
