T44 - Larger Married Couple's allowances for couples of 65+ and 75+ The Married Couple's allowance has three levels, just like the Personal
allowance. The higher levels are due where either the husband or the wife is 65
or over or 75 or over. The income limit rule continues to apply; that is, only
elderly people with modest incomes get the full age increase and there is a
sliding scale reduction for those whose incomes are above the limit. |
